The Bond cannot be paid with a pre-paid Credit Card.

+ WHAT ARE THE BRANCH HOURS AND LOCATIONS?

Click here to see our locations and opening hours.

+ HOW DO I GET TO THE BRANCH?

Branches are conveniently located near major airports, making pick-up and drop-off even easier for you. You can arrange transport to and from the airport via taxi or uber/rideshare or public transport (where possible).

+ DO YOU ALLOW PICK UP OR DROP OFF OUTSIDE OF BRANCH HOURS?

All guests are required to pick up and drop off during the hours specified for each branch.

DRIVER LICENCE

+ HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO DRIVE A HIPPIE CAMPER?

Drivers must be over 18 years of age or over with a full driver licence to drive a Hippie Camper vehicle.

+ DO ALL DRIVERS HAVE TO BE IN THE BRANCH AT PICK UP?

All drivers are required to show their Driver Licence to the branch in person prior to driving the vehicle. At pick up is preferred, however guests may visit the branch prior to pick up or after, as long as it’s shown before they drive the vehicle.

+ WHAT TYPE OF DRIVER LICENCE DO I NEED?

All drivers must be over the age of 21, to be presented along with the original driver's license. For the safety of our guests a current and full motor vehicle driver licence is required to be shown at pick up and the driver needs to be present. If the driver's licence is not in English then we require an accredited English translation or an International Driver's permit, along with your driver's licence. We must sight both at pick-up otherwise we cannot release the vehicle.

VEHICLES

+ ARE DOGS ALLOWED IN THE VEHICLE?

We are happy for you to bring a pet dog on vacation in our Motorhome for a pet cleaning fee of $250 if picking up on or before 31 March 2024. Picking up on or after 1 April 2024 is a pet cleaning fee of $299.

Service animals can travel in Hippie Campers free of charge with prior permission and proof of service certification. We ask you to tell us in advance that you wish to bring your pet and to ensure your pet does not cause any damage to the vehicle. Should additional pet cleaning be required at drop off, additional cleaning charges will apply.

+ CAN I BRING MY BIKE?

We do not have bike racks on our campers. Bikes may be stored inside the campervan, however we would appreciate bikes being stored in bike bags to avoid any damage to the interior of the campervan.

+ DO I HAVE TO PAY PER KILOMETRE (KM)?

We offer unlimited kilometres with our 2WD Motorhomes. Relocations have a daily kilometre allowance - please refer to our Terms and Conditions for more information on charges.

+ HOW LONG DOES THE BATTERY SYSTEM LAST?

The battery system will provide power for between 12 - 20 hours when fully charged depending on use. Our vehicles operate on ancillary battery systems which power internal appliances such as the fridge, lights, television and water pump.

The batteries only recharge when connected to mains power or will trickle charge when driving the vehicle. We recommend that the vehicle is plugged into mains power every 2 nights. Idling the engine won't provide enough power to recharge the house battery. When you are connected, all equipment automatically runs on mains power rather than the battery.

Appliances such as the microwave, rear air-conditioning and power points only run on mains power. Television may run either on 240v (mains power) or 12v (battery power).

For the 12 Volt system to work, the 12 Volt main switch must be in the 'on' position. All vehicles can be connected to 240 Volt mains power via the supplied 15 Amp extension lead with a large earth pin. All approved caravan park circuits are rated at 15 amps.

+ CAN I REQUEST A SPECIFIC LAYOUT OR VEHICLE LENGTH?

Vehicles can be requested by vehicle category, however we cannot guarantee a particular vehicle layout, make or model.

+ WILL MY VEHICLE BE AUTOMATIC OR MANUAL TRANSMISSION?

Hippie Endeavour camper vans are automatic transmission. Hippie Hitop Camper vehicles may be automatic or manual transmission. We are unable to guarantee the transmission type. Please refer to the vehicle description to check whether your preferred vehicle is automatic or manual.

For budget conscious renters this provides an ideal opportunity to travel between cities while still fitting in some sightseeing.
